I wish you all could have been in Rachel's living room today to overhear our conversation about heaven. We were discussing with Dane what it will be like when mommy goes there soon. Rachel is looking forward to seeing Jesus face to face. She is also grieving about leaving her husband and two boys. For a little while we talked of the pleasures of heaven: no more pain, no more tears, no more death...
Ra was told today that the cancer has spread throughout her abdominal area. She has very little time to say good-bye to us. Perhaps two or more months. We have a great physician. And we have faith, hope and love. Barbara
I am so sorry Barbara. Praying for your family and miracles. I lost my finacee 11 years ago to cancer and he is sorely missed. Mick adored me and we were great partners. I pray for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI never expected to read this...ever. I knew God would heal Rachel for her and her family and all of us. He would show us. How could such a pure, amazing woman who gave all of herself to others and God, all the time, be going so soon?
ReplyDeleteI cannot stand this news! Oh, Barbara, how it must pain you & Eddie! I love you both for your devotion to Rachel and I grieve with you. And for Rob & Dane & Ethan! I lost my own father from colon cancer when he was just 37. I thought I would die myself after years of his pain and suffering and no cure was found. But God was sufficient even though I wanted my sorrow to continue forever. Rachel, I love you, and you cannot imagine what a powerful effect you have had on MY life. You have been very special to our family from the moment you were born, and will be with us forever. Thank you for your testimony of God's love and comfort. Hugs... Aunt Kathy
ReplyDeleteHI Rachel,
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping track of you and how you are doing! We are keeping you and your fellows and family in our prayers.
As we have said many times, you are running such a wonderful race and are so strong like Paul that you are such an example of belief and faith in our Lord and Saviour.
You are such a blessing and you are touching far more lives than you can possibly even imagine. I bet your sons have learned alot about faith and trust in our Lord and what an example you are to them. You are being so strong and so determined and so loving at the very same time.
Your friends and our Gals from "Running the Race" are keeping you in their prayers as well.
You are loved so much more than you know!
God bless and keep you always and may God forever hold you in the palm of his hand. Know that you are not alone, that we are all praying for you and that you are deeply loved...
