Wheatgrass...Anyone??

So, my friend Amber texted me to see if I had looked in to juicing Wheat grass for Rachel. I had not but my husband knew all about it and had actually taken it in powder form a couple years ago. I started to research it tonight and found a lot of interesting things about Wheat grass.

  1. It contains Laetrile (B-17) which is a huge component for Rachel's cancer fighting regiment
  2. 1 pound of wheat grass is equivalent to 23 pounds of your choice other greens (amazing)
  3. Helps build up red blood cells in your body to carry oxygen through your body - oxygen fights cancer
  4. contains 17 amino acids
  5. contains 70% of Chlorophyll which has been shown to produce an unfavourable environment for bacterial growth in the body and therefore effective in increasing the body's resistance to illness.
baby woke up...need to go. Will let you know when I start growing it,

2-Organic Apples peeled, cored and cut chunky
    1/4 cup- Organic Rasins
    Cinnamon to taste
    12- Organic Raw Almonds

In your Vita-Mix (I know you have one : ) You want to first chop the almonds a little. If you turn it on a little more then the start level and while it is running drop the almonds in and then quickly turn it off and on... just a few times pulsing it ...to chop... but not pulverize the nuts and then turn off. Abt. 10 secs.

Next, while the mixer is off, put in all the rest of the ingredients. Turn mixer on the lowest speed, and with the plunger, keep pushing the apples down till the large chunks are reduced, but you do not want to make apple sauce. You want it to remain chunky. It only takes about 20 secs.
Ok, now to make the sauce. You can make enough for a week and keep in fridge.

Sauce to drizzle over the Apple mixture:

1/3 cup of Pecans or almonds
    1/3 cup of filtered water
2 tab. of pure maple syurp
Place all ingredients in mixer and mix at high speed till creamy and
    smooth.
Now drizzle abt.1-2 tab. over apples and Enjoy!!!
